NEW YORK – The Drew University men's indoor track & field team returned to action for the first time since Dec. 13, competing at the Ramapo Season Opener on Friday at The Armory in New York City.
The meet consisted of Division I, II, and III schools as well and open competition.
Turning in the top finish for the Rangers was freshman
Owen Browne, who placed third in a field of eight. He cleared 4.30 meters (14-1 1/4), equaling the mark he set earlier this season when he became the first-ever pole vaulter in Drew track & field history. His mark also ranks him second on the Landmark Conference leaderboard this season.
Sophomore
Adian Hanson also turned in an impressive performance for the Rangers. He placed seventh out of 87 competitors in the 200-meter dash while clocking a school-record time of 22.42 seconds, placing him just a hundredth of a second behind the conference leader this year.

Thomas Edwards added a 24th-place finish out of 53 competitors in the mile, finishing in four minutes, 38.33 seconds. Freshman
Olamilekan Olayiwola also placed in the top half of his field, taking 29th out of 64 athletes in the 400-meter dash. He was timed at 53.71 seconds.
Several of Drew's field athletes will compete at the Collegeville Classic, hosted by Ursinus College, on Sunday starting at 9:15 a.m.
