PHILADELPHIA – The Drew University men's indoor track & field team competed at the Winter's Evening Invite, held at the University of Pennsylvania and hosted by Widener University on Friday.
Sophomore
Adian Hanson turned in a pair of big performances for the Rangers, including placing 11th in a field of 43 in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 22.48 seconds. Hanson also placed 13th among 36 competitors in the 60-meter dash (7.10).
Sophomore
Thomas Edwards recorded the highest finish for the Rangers, placing ninth among 24 harriers in the 5,000-meter run. He was timed at 16 minutes, 9.29 seconds for the 25-lap event.
Freshman
Owen Browne contributed a top-10 finish as well, placing 10th among 27 competitors in the pole vault. Ranked second in the Landmark Conference this season in the event entering the meet, he cleared 4.10 meters (13-5 1/4).
On Saturday, the throws portion of the meet was held at Widener. Sophomore
Zach Mogambi led the way with an eighth-place finish among 61 competitors in the shot put, uncorking a throw of 13.73 meters (45- 1/2).
The Rangers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 2, when they travel to the DeSchriver Invitational, hosted by East Stroudsburg University.
