Men’s Track & Field Takes Runner-Up Honors in Three Events

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University men's indoor track & field team placed second in three events at the Golden Bear Invitational, hosted by Kutztown University, on Friday.
 
Sophomore Adian Hanson took second out of 20 total competitors in the 55-meter dash, running a team record of 6.57 seconds in the final.
 
Also taking second were freshman Owen Browne, who soared 4.22 meters (13-10) in the pole vault while placing first among Division III competitors, and junior Dylan Crain, who raced to a time of 2:10.58 in the 800-meter run.
 
Sophomore Zach Mogambi came in third in the weight throw while lowering his own team record with a toss of 15.08 meters (49-5 3/4). He also took fourth in a field of 23 in the shot put with a heave of 14.16 meters (46-5 1/2).
 
Freshman Olamilekan Olayiwola placed third in both the 200-meter dash (24.26) and 400-meter dash (54.43) while sophomore Evan Richardson came in fifth in the high jump, setting a team record with a leap of 1.79 meters (5-10 1/2).
 
The Rangers continues their season on Saturday, March 1 at the Landmark Conference Championships, to be held at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
