USTFCCCA All-Metro Region Teams

NEW ORLEANS – Freshman Owen Browne has made history as the first all-region performer in Drew University men's track & field history.

Browne earned a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Metro Region Men's Indoor Track & Field Team.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams.

Browne earned the award after finishing fourth in the region in the pole vault, clearing a season-best 4.58 meters (15- 1/4) at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships, where he won a gold medal in the event. By virtue of his victory, he was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team and selected as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year. Browne was the first conference champion in the history of Drew men's track & field, which is competing in its second year as a varsity sport.
