Men’s Track & Field Competes at Ramapo Invitational

MAHWAH, N.J. – The Drew University men's track & field team continued its outdoor season with several athletes competing at the Ramapo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
 
Turning in the top finish for Drew was sophomore Adian Hanson, who placed fifth among 28 competitors in the 100-meter dash. After clocking an 11.14 in preliminary heats, he was timed at 11.17 seconds in the final.
 
Also in the sprints, sophomore Jeff Ayeh-Datey came in seventh in a large field of 64, hitting the line in 22.52 seconds.
 
Sophomore Thomas Edwards also took seventh while taking on 57 competitors. He cruised the metric mile in 4:16.28, lowering his own school record in the process.
 
Sophomore Carl Adolphe added a 12th-place finish in a field of 31 in the discus with a launch of 35.63 meters (116-11). In addition, senior Darius Sanders placed 13th among 25 competitors in the hammer with a toss of 34.75 meters (114-0).
 
The Rangers continue their season on Friday and Saturday at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival.
