GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Drew University men's track & field team competed at the Oscar Moore Invitational, hosted by Rowan University, on Saturday.
Sophomore
Zach Mogambi turned in the team's top finish on the day. Battling cold and wet conditions, he posted a throw of 41.07 meters (134-9) in the discus, good for a fourth-place finish in a field of 23. Mogambi was the top Division III finisher in the event.
Sophomore
Thomas Edwards added a 13th-place finish among 67 competitors in the 1,500-meter run, clocking a time of 4 minutes, 16.80 seconds. He also came in 37th in a field of 66 in the 800-meter run (2:05.93).
Freshman
Matt Ellis placed 26th in the 1,500 (4:25.61) while sophomore
Jeff Ayeh-Datey came in 29th among 66 competitors in the 100-meter dash (11.55). Sophomore
Carl Adolphe also placed in the top half of his field, taking 10th out of 21 throwers in the hammer with a toss of 36.70 meters (120-5).
The Rangers continue their season on Friday, when they compete at the Coach Pollard Invitational, hosted by Moravian University.
