NEW ORLEANS – Sophomore Zach Mogambi has captured a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Metro Region Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team.
 
The top-five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end descending order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams.
 
Mogambi earned the award after finishing as the No. 1-ranked discus thrower in the Metro Region during this past season with a top throw of 50.26 meters (164-11), a Drew and Landmark Conference record.
 
With this award, Mogambi becomes the second All-Region performer in Drew men's track & field history. Freshman Owen Browne earned the same distinction this past indoor season in the pole vault.
 
Mogambi ended the regular season ranked 29th nationally in Division III in the discus. He was also the Landmark Conference champion in the event, which earned him First Team All-Landmark Conference honors.
