SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Sophomore Zach Mogambi scored in both of his events on Saturday, leading the Drew University men's track & field team on the opening day of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships at Susquehanna University.
 
Mogambi placed fifth in the hammer while resetting his own school record with a toss of 42.64 meters (139-10). In addition, he took seventh in the shot put with a heave of 13.43 meters (44- 1/4).

The top-eight finishers in every event score points that count toward their team's total.
 
Sophomore Thomas Edwards also improved upon his own school record, taking 15th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 8.80 seconds.
 
Also on Saturday, sophomore Jeff Ayeh-Datey qualified for Sunday's final in one event, placing seventh in preliminaries of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.00 seconds.
 
The second and final day of the championships will be held on Sunday starting at 11 a.m.
