All-Landmark Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team

TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore Zach Mogambi has earned First Team All-Landmark Conference honors for his performance at the outdoor championship meet this past weekend at Susquehanna University.

On the second and final day of the meet on Sunday, Mogambi won the discus throw with a tremendous performance. With a launch of 48.87 meters, or 160 feet, 4 inches, he won the event by over seven feet and shattered the former meet record of 45.58 meters (149-6) set by Jon Anthony of Moravian in 2019.

One day earlier, Mogambi scored points for the Rangers in two events, placing fifth in the hammer while resetting his own school record with a toss of 42.64 meters (139-10). In addition, he took seventh in the shot put with a heave of 13.43 meters (44- 1/4).

On April 26, Mogambi recorded his top performance of the season in the discus, shattering the Landmark Conference record with a winning throw of 50.26 meters (164-11) at Lehigh University's Carol and John Covert Classic. That mark ranks 24th on this year's Division III performance list in the event.

On this season's Landmark Conference outdoor performance list, Mogambi currently first in the discus, fourth in the shot put (14.23m), and sixth in the weight throw (42.64m).

The Rangers continue their season on Friday at the Ramapo College Twilight Last Chance Meet.
