MAHWAH, N.J. – A small group of athletes competed for the Drew University men's track & field team at the Ramapo College Last Chance Meet on Friday evening.
Sophomore
Thomas Edwards posted one of the team's top performances, placing fifth among 17 competitors in the 800-meter run. He clocked a personal-record (PR) of 2 minutes, 2.73 seconds.
Classmate
Jeff Ayeh-Datey added a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter dash, as he was timed at 11.13 seconds in preliminaries.
Also competing were sophomore
Ethan O'Bryan, who placed third in the high jump (1.74m, 5-8 1/2), sophomore
Aidan Riccardo, who took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.10), freshman
Matt Ellis, who came in 10th the in the 800 (2:05.11, PR), junior
Dylan Crain, who was 12th in the 800 (2:08.91, PR), and sophomore
Grailin Simmons, who finished 19th in the 200-meter dash (24.11).
Several Rangers will now compete at the Widener University Final Qualifier on Tuesday.
