Six Named to CSC Women's Academic All-District At-Large Team

CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team

MADISON, N.J. – Six student-athletes at Drew University have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Senior Lauren Cagliostro (field hockey), junior Bella Hatzoglu (fencing), senior Elysa Jordan (fencing), senior Serena Mancuso (fencing), junior Roxy Riles (golf), and junior Aubrey Welch (lacrosse) were each selected.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. Fencers must have competed in a minimum of four competitions or have at least one top-eight finish at a conference championship meet while golfers must have competed in 70 percent of the team's total varsity events that were team scoring events. Field hockey and lacrosse players must have competed in 90 percent of the team's total games played or have started 66 percent of the team's total games.
 
Cagliostro, a Business and Marketing double major with a 3.93 GPA, capped her career with a solid senior campaign this past year and earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Second Team as a defender. An outstanding two-way player, she piled up 21 points on nine goals and three assists while connecting on all three of her penalty strokes. She scored in eight different games, including an overtime game-winner in Drew's 2-1 season-opening victory at FDU-Florham. For her career, Cagliostro started 70 straight games, finishing with 35 points on 12 goals and 11 assists.
 
A Psychology major with a 3.69 GPA, Hatzoglu is coming off a season in which she finished 56-48 in foil. She qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships for the third year in a row and finished 32nd, and she also 11-7 in the team competition at the Eastern Women's Fencing Conference (EWFC) Championships. In addition, she went 12-4 at the Vassar Invitational, 7-3 at Vassar's Lampell Invitational, 3-0 at the FDU Invitational, and 3-3 at the Johns Hopkins Invitational.
 
Jordan, a Psychology major with a 3.98 GPA, finished up a four-year career with the Rangers this past season. Competing at sabre, she earned nine victories on the year, including a perfect 6-0 mark at the FDU Invitational and a 3-2 showing at the Johns Hopkins Invitational. Jordan was also an NCAA Regional Championship qualifier during her junior season and finished her career with over 50 wins.
 
An Italian Studies and English double major, Mancuso also concluded her fourth year for Drew this past year, finishing with 15 victories while competing at sabre. She posted an unblemished 5-0 record at the Johns Hopkins Invitational, and she also finished 3-0 at the FDU Invitational. Mancuso also qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships during her junior campaign, and she finished with over 100 victories for her career.
 
A Biology major with a 3.63 GPA, Riles earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the second year in a row. She captured her third consecutive First Team All-Landmark honor this past season, when she finished fourth at the conference championship. For the season, she posted the team's second-best average, posting an 80.7. She placed among the top-10 in nine of her 10 events and claimed medalist honors at the Drew Birdie Bash with a 76. Riles also claimed runner-up honors at Conquer the Island with an 81, and she tied for second at the season-opening Battle at Berkleigh with a 76.
 
Welch, a Marketing major with a 3.55 GPA, also earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference team this past season, capturing second-team honors. Starting all 16 games, the midfielder led the team in both goals (36) and draw controls (63) while finishing second among the Rangers in points (40), and third in both ground balls (26) and caused turnovers (16). She struck for a career-high six goals in a Landmark Conference victory over Goucher, racked up five goals, one assist, and seven draw controls in an overtime loss to Landmark Conference foe Moravian, and netted five goals and six draw controls in a conference win over Lycoming.
