MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's fencing team racked up eight points in foil and earned a 15-12 dual-meet victory over Vassar College Wednesday evening in the Simon Forum.
The Rangers (17-16) avenged a 16-11 loss to the Brewers at the Vassar Invitational back on Nov. 9.
Senior
Henri Degremont and sophomore
Jason Sobon each went 3-0 in foil while freshman
Nico Angelos finished 2-0 in the same weapon.
Drew also edged Vassar 5-4 in epee. Sophomore
Jackson Howard posted a 2-0 mark while senior
Eddie Matto went 2-1. Senior
Will Morton contributed one victory in epee.
Sophomore
Jack Henderson went 1-2 to pace Drew in sabre, which Vassar won 7-2, while classmate
Nicholas Machado finished 1-1.
The Rangers picked up their schedule on Sunday, when they travel to Johns Hopkins University for a MACFA "A vs. C" event.
