TOWSON, Md. – Junior goalie Joe Barnish has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.
 
Barnish recorded 10 saves in Drew's season-opening 8-4 victory at Marywood University. He helped the Rangers shut out the Pacers in both the second and fourth quarters and stopped six shots in the second half.
 
Last season, Barnish earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention team, posting a 10.38 goals-against average and .561 save percentage.
 
The Rangers play their home opener on Saturday, when they take on Merchant Marine starting at noon.
