Track & Field Teams to Compete at Landmark Conference Indoor Championships

MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday at Susquehanna University.
 
The Rangers, who are competing in their third year as a varsity program, have numerous athletes ranked among the leaders on the Landmark Conference leaders list heading into the meet.
 
The top-eight finishers in each event earn points for their team.
 
On the women's side, senior Emily Camlet enters the championship seeded in the top-three in three different events and is the top seed in both the 200- and 400-meter dash. In the 400, she broke her own Landmark Conference record this past winter with a time of 55.86 seconds, a mark that currently has her ranked 10th (tied) on the NCAA Division III performance list for the season. She has also recorded a time of 25.20 seconds in the 200, which is currently the 48th-best time in Division III. In addition, she is ranked third in the Landmark Conference in the 60-meter dash (7.83).
 
Junior Sage Hendershot also enters the meet as a No. 1 seed after recording the conference's fastest time (tied, 7.73) in the 60-meter dash this past winter. She is also ranked fourth in the 200 (25.70) and sixth in the long jump (5.13m).
 
Sophomore Lauryn Brown also enters the meet in scoring position, as she is seeded third in the triple jump (10.89m) and fifth in the long jump (5.15m).
 
Drew's women's team will also enter the meet seeded second in the 4x200-meter relay, as Camlet, Hendershot, sophomore Isabella Fortunato, and Brown have posted a season-best time of 1:47.27.
 
On the men's side, junior Zach Mogambi is the Rangers' top seed. He enters the meet ranked third in the weight throw (15.62m), and he is also sixth in the shot put (13.35m). In addition, sophomore Owen Browne enters the meet seeded fourth in the pole vault (4.00m) while junior Jeff Ayeh-Datey is eighth in the 200 (22.39).

The meet begins at 10 a.m. with the women's long jump, women's weight throw, men's pole vault, and men's high jump while track events start at 11 a.m. with the 5,000-meter run. The meet concludes at approximately 6 p.m. with the 4x400-meter relay.
