HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Drew University men's fencing team traveled to Haverford College for a dual meet on Saturday and came up on the short end of a 15-12 decision.
The Rangers edged the Fords 5-4 in sabre, with sophomores
Jason Ahlman and
Nicolas Machado each finishing 2-1 and junior
Logan Kleva going 1-2.
Haverford earned a slim 5-4 victory in epee, and four different Rangers accounted for one individual win apiece: sophomore
JP Emmert (1-0), senior
Eddie Matto (1-1), senior
Will Morton (1-2), and sophomore
Lupo Sala (1-2).
The Fords won by a 6-3 count in foil, with three Rangers finishing 1-2: senior
Henri Degremont, sophomore
Paul Greenleaf, and sophomore
Andrew Klyczek.
Drew continues its season on Saturday, Feb. 21, when it hosts a MACFA "A" round robin event.
