USTFCCCA Division III All-Metro Region Team

NEW ORLEANS – For the second time in his career, junior Zach Mogambi has earned a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Metro Region Men's Track & Field Team.
 
Mogambi was honored for his performance in the weight throw during the indoor season this past winter. He also captured All-Region recognition in the discus last spring.
 
The top-eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.
 
Mogambi finished the season ranked No. 5 in the Metro Region in the weight throw when he lowered his own school record with a season-best toss of 15.86 meters (52 1/2) at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships at the Armory in New York City on March 7.
 
Mogambi also posted Drew's top performance for the indoor season in the shot put with a heave of 13.86 meters (45-5 3/4) at the Landmark Conference Championships, where he finished fifth. Mogambi also took seventh in the weight throw at the conference meet.
 
The Rangers opened their outdoor season on March 13-14 at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge and continue their season March 27-28 at the Ramapo Invitational.
