Ramapo Invitational Results
MADISON, and MAHWAH, N.J. – The Drew University men's track & field team placed second at the Battle of Madison Avenue, held at FDU-Florham on Sunday.
The Rangers stacked up seven event victories to finish with 50 points. FDU won the team title with 76 points while Lehman College placed third (21) and Saint Elizabeth University came in fourth (15).
In addition, senior
Dylan Crain competed at the Ramapo Invitational in the 10,000-meter run on Friday evening and was timed at 34:19, slashing nearly 50 seconds from his own school record.
Leading the way for the Rangers at FDU was junior
Jeff Ayeh-Datey, who won both the 100-meter dash (11.33) and the 200-meter dash (22.13). In addition, he anchored the 4x400-meter relay that won with a time of 3:40.71.
Adding one individual victory apiece were freshman
Nathanrood Charles in the 400-meter dash (52.62), freshman
Chris Tocci in the 800-meter run (2:06.94), junior
Tommy Edwards in the 1,500-meter run (4:15.66), and junior
Zach Mogambi in the discus (46.85m/153-8).
Sophomore
Olamilekan Olayiwola added a runner-up showing in the 400-meter dash (53.11) while a trio of Rangers turned in a third-place finish: freshman
Matt Vargas in the 800 (2:10.58), Crain in the 1,500 (4:28.29), and sophomore
Owen Browne in the long jump (6.09m/19-11 3/4).
The Rangers are back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Ursinus College Track & Field Invitational.
