TOWSON, Md. – For the third week in a row, junior Zach Mogambi of the Drew University men's track & field team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Mogambi won the discus and placed third in the shot put to lead the Rangers at the Bill Butler Invitational, hosted by West Chester University. Facing Division II and III competition, he launched a season-best throw of 47.61 meters (156-2) in the discus to beat out 21 athletes in the event. His throw was over 20 feet father than his nearest competitor, and it ranks first in the Landmark Conference and 41st on the current Division III performance list.
 
Mogambi also placed third in a field of 24 in the shot put with a throw of 14.09 meters (46-2 3/4), making him the top Division III finisher in the event by nearly six feet.
 
The Rangers continue their season on Friday and Saturday at the Coach Pollard Invitational, hosted by Moravian University.
