CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team
MADISON, N.J. – Six student-athletes at Drew University have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team.

Filiz Erdogan (fencing), senior
Bella Hatzoglu (fencing), sophomore
Josephine Nguyen (golf), junior
Grace Patane (lacrosse), senior
Roxy Riles (golf), and senior
Aubrey Welch (lacrosse) were each selected.
Additionally, Nguyen was chosen as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 7.
The 2026 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. Fencers must have competed in a minimum of four competitions or have at least one top-eight finish at a conference championship meet, while golfers must have competed in 75 percent of the team's total varsity events that were team scoring events or have been in the lineup for their team's conference championship tournament. Lacrosse players must have competed in 90 percent of the team's total games played or have started 66 percent of the team's total games.
Each school may nominate up to six student-athletes for the Men's and Women's Academic All-District® At-Large Teams.
Erdogan, a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major with a 3.82 GPA, posted another outstanding season in foil, finishing 76-30 in regular-season matches. She captured Second Team All-National Intercollegiate Women's Fencing Association (NIWFA) honors for the second year in a row by virtue of her sixth-place finish at the NIWFA Championships, and she also posted a tremendous performance at the Eastern Women's Fencing Conference (EWFC) Championships, where she finished 21-3. In addition, she qualified for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Region Championships, where she posted the team's top finish with a 30th-place showing.
A Psychology major with a 3.73 GPA, Hatzoglu earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the second year in a row. She is coming off a season in which she finished 42-42 in foil while reaching the 200-win mark for her career. She qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships for the fourth straight season and finished 32nd, and she also posted an impressive 17-4 mark at the EWFC Championships. In addition, Hatzoglu reached the final at the NIWFA Championships, placing 10th.
Nguyen, a Finance major with a 3.87 GPA, capped another tremendous season by winning her second straight Landmark Conference title. In the process, she earned the Landmark Women's Golf Player of the Year award and captured First Team All-Landmark Conference honors for the second year in a row. Also Drew's Female Athlete of the Year, she won five of her 10 events for the season and averaged a 76.6 per round.
A Media & Communications major with a 3.71 GPA, Patane made her mark as one of the team's top offensive performers while earning a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Second Team. The attacker led the Rangers in goals (39) and points (59) while finishing second in assists (20), and she scored a goal in all 16 games, including a six-goal, two-assist showing in a victory over FDU-Florham. In addition, she reached the 100-goal plateau for her career late in the season.
Riles, a Biology major with a 3.57 GPA, earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the third year in a row. Also the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's golf, she captured her fourth consecutive First Team All-Landmark honor this past season, when she tied for second at the conference championship. For the season, she posted the team's second-best average at 80.5, including a career-low, even-par 72 in the second round of The Ruckus, where she rallied for a victory with a 147. She claimed medalist honors four times throughout her career and averaged an 82.2 over 67 rounds.
A Marketing major with a 3.55 GPA, Welch garnered her second consecutive CSC Academic All-District award. The midfielder earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference team for the second year in a row this past season, capturing first-team honors. She tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 46 points on 35 goals and 11 assists, and she also led the team with 75 draw controls. For her career, Welch finished with 142 points, 114 goals, 28 assists, and 249 draw controls – a mark that ranks second all-time at Drew.
