Rangers Come Back from 6-0 Deficit, Fall in 2OT

SWARTHMORE, Pa. (April 14, 2010) – Swarthmore's Gavin Musynske netted the game-winning goal with :10 seconds remaining in the second overtime to put an end to a wild night in southeast Pennsylvania. The Rangers erased a 6-0 lead with seven unanswered goals but it would not be enough to hold off the Garnet as they came away with the 8-7 victory.

Drew (5-6) would not get on the scoreboard until the very end of the third period when Greg Reading (Pennington, N.J/Hopewell Valley) got a pass from Tyler Morse (Middletown, N.Y./Minsink Valley) with :54 seconds on the clock. The Rangers next goal came just :20 seconds later when Reading found Jon Bucknam (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) and the momentum started to shift in favor of Drew.
After Drew tied the game up at six on an unassisted goal from Ari Young (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) at the 8:42 mark in the fourth period, Mike Sayers (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) would come up with his tenth goal of the year to give the Rangers a 7-6 lead with 5:18 left.

The lead would be short-lived as Swathmore (3-7) tied the game back up :15 seconds later on a goal from Tyler Bradshaw.

The Rangers out-shot the Garnet 7-2 in the two overtime periods but could not convert. Reading had a shot with 1:08 remaining in the second overtime hit the post and Sayers got another shot off with :32 seconds left but was stoned by Swarthmore goalie Kevin Freidenberg.

Neither team took advantage of their extra man opportunities none of the 15 goals came with a man down.

Reading and Bucknam had two goals and two assists a piece and continue to supply the Ranger offense with points.
Drew returns home on Friday to face Division II opponent, Dominican College in night game on the turf of Ranger Stadium at 7:00.
