EASTON, Pa. (November 18, 2012) – The Drew University women's fencing team notched three victories this afternoon at the Lafayette College Meet. The Rangers recorded wins over Army, NJIT and Yeshiva en route to a 3-2 day.

The biggest victory of the day came over Yeshiva in which the Rangers registered a 20-7 triumph. Drew was able to get past Army with a 15-12 win and eventually NJIT, 16-11. Host, Lafayette, downed the Rangers with a convincing 18-9 victory while Rutgers pinned a 20-7 setback on Drew.

The women's sabre posted an impressive 33-12 record on the day thanks to the efforts of Emilia Domanowski (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and freshman Sarah Silvestri (Newfoundland, N.J./West Milford). Domanowski, a senior, finished the afternoon with a record of 12-3. Not to be outdone, Silvestri only lost once the entire day and posted a team-high 14 wins.

The Drew foil was a win below the .500 mark with a record of 22-23 on the afternoon. Senior Melissa Mascarenhas (Linden, N.J./Linden) completed the day with nine wins and four losses.

The Rangers will be back on the strip on Thursday November 29th when they take on NYU in New York City.
