Box Score
MADISON, N.J. (May 2, 2012) – The Rangers will advance to their second Landmark Conference Championship game in program history with a 15-9 victory over Scranton (9-7) this evening at Ranger Stadium. The victory is the team's 13th of the season, setting a new school record for wins in a season.

Drew (13-3) never trailed in the contest and withstood a five-goal run by the Royals over the final minutes of the third period and the beginning of the fourth. Junior Scott Humphreys (Newark, Del./Sanford School) and Sean McGowan (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph) helped the Rangers create the late separation by each scoring two of their game-high four goals over the final six minutes of play.

Senior Charlie DeSocio (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) put forth his best effort of the season in the cage, stopping a season-high 14 shots including six in the third period alone. The Rangers netminder also made an impact on the offensive end with his first career assist on the Rangers ninth goal of the game.

Freshman Patrick Lamon (Severna Park, Md./Severn School) chipped in two goals to round off the Drew multiple scorers. Steve Gentile (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Indian Hills) and Nicholas Della Fera (Locust Valley, N.Y./Locust Valley) each put together three-point games with a goal and two assists each.

The Rangers will play in their first Landmark Conference Championship game since winning the inaugural title in 2008, defeating Goucher 8-5. The two teams will do it all over again in Towson, Md. this weekend after the 10th-ranked Gophers defeated Catholic, 13-6 earlier in the day.

The top two seeds will square off on Beldon Field on the campus of Goucher College  on Saturday with a time yet to be determined.
