SELINSGROVE, Pa. -Â The Drew University men's swimming & diving team won eight events en route to 132-88 victory at Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University on Saturday.
The Rangers (3-1) received a pair of individual victories apiece from three different swimmers, a a relay win, and an improved school record in the lone diving event.
Senior
Michael Ma, senior
Jack Mahoney, and freshman
Harrison Neal all won two events each. Ma captured the 200-IM (1:59.80) and the 200-butterfly (2:04.91) while Mahoney touched first in both the 50-freestyle (22.21) and the 100-freestyle (49.06). Mahoney led a 1-2 Ranger sweep in both the 50 and the 100, with sophomore
Jake Zajdzinski finishing second in both (22.65, 49.83).
Neal captured the 200-freestyle with the top time in the Landmark Conference this season (1:47.97) while leading a 1-2 Ranger sweep. Sophomore
Josh Roberts was second (1:49.19). Neal also captured the 500-freestyle in 4:55.79.
Freshman
Magnus Loeffler also won the 1-meter diving with a score of 297.00, improving upon his own school record of 291.20 set in the season opener.Â
In the relays, the Rangers registered a victory in the 200-freestyle, with junior
Matheus Macena, Neal, Ma, and Mahoney teaming up for a winning time of 1:38.17.
Drew continues its season on Dec. 6-7 when it hosts the Ranger Invitational.
