Hayden Koh and sophomore
Finn Armitt combined to break four records, leading the Drew University men's swimming & diving team to a 148-122 victory at Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna University on Saturday.
The Rangers (3-2) won nine of 15 events, with Koh accounting for three of those victories. Freshman
Yan Zheng Lew added a pair of wins for Drew.
In the 200-butterfly, Koh touched first with a time (1:56.56) that not only eclipsed the former Ranger record of 1:56.68 set by Michael Ma C'20 in 2019, but also broke Susquehanna's pool record. Koh led a 1-2-3 Drew sweep in the event, as Armitt took second in 1:57.69 while Lew was third in 1:59.43.
Koh also claimed victories in both the 100-backstroke (52.65) and the 200-IM (1:58.86). His time in the 100-back also topped the previous pool record.
Armitt also came away with a record with his victory in the 100-butterfly, as his time of 52.26 also established a Susquehanna pool record.
Lew swept the distance events, prevailing in both the 500-freestyle (4:58.15) and the 1,000-freestyle (10:23.77).Â
Sophomore
Jonathan Benowitz added a victory in the 1-meter diving with a score of 201.25 points while junior
Jeffrey Crouse provided an additional victory in the 100-freestyle (50.31).
Drew closed out the day by winning the 400-freestyle relay, as junior
Harrison Neal, sophomore
Luke Stevens, Crouse, and senior
Josh Roberts teamed up for a time of 3:16.64.
The team returns to action on Dec. 3-4, when it hosts the 10th annual Ranger Invitational.
