TOWSON, Md. – Junior goalie
Olyvia Jackson has been named the Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row and for the third time this season.
Â
Jackson made a career-high 20 saves in Drew's 3-0 Landmark Conference loss at Susquehanna University in the Rangers' season finale this past Saturday. Facing a 40-shot barrage, she racked up 17 saves in the second and third quarters alone. Jackson's save total was five more than her previous career-best, places her in a tie for sixth in team history, and is the most by a Ranger since Ryann Callaghan C'19 stopped 24 shots versus Catholic in 2017.
Â
Jackson also played the first three quarters to pick up the win in the team's 5-0 victory over Lancaster Bible in which the Rangers did not allow a shot on goal.
Â
For the season, Jackson was the team's goalie of record in every game. She finished with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .736 save percentage while collecting 128 saves.
Â
The Rangers closed out the season 7-9 and 2-5 in the Landmark Conference play. They posted their highest victory total since 2013 and their most conference wins since 2016.
