MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's swimming & diving team won 11 of 16 events to earn a 182-83 victory over Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon in its home opener in F.M. Kirby Pool.
The Rangers earned their fourth-straight win over the River Hawks while improving to 2-1 on the season.
A trio of double-winners led the way for Drew. Three-time Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, sophomore
Hayden Koh, touched first in the 200-freestyle, shooting to the top of the Landmark Conference rankings with a time of 1:43.97. He also won by nearly 10 seconds in the 200-backstroke (1:54.166).
Junior
Finn Armitt captured both the 200-butterfly (1:57.13) and the 100-butterfly (51.37) while freshman B
rendan Burkett prevailed in both the 50-freestyle (22.08) and the 100-freestyle (48.71).
Sophomore
Yan Zheng Lew contributed a victory in the 1,000-freestyle (10:11.33) while seniors
Josh Roberts (100-backstroke, 56.31) and
Harrison Neal (200-breaststroke, 2:18.66) earned one win apiece.
The Rangers also swept the two relays, as Koh, Neal, Armitt, and Burkett led off the meet with a victory in the 200-medley (1:35.53) while senior
Jeffrey Crouse, Armitt, Burkett, and Roberts closed it out with a win in the 400-freestyle (3:13.61).
Drew is now off from competition until Dec. 2-3, when it hosts the Ranger Invitational.
