Three additional Landmark Conference basketball games will be held at the Palestra besides Drew's showdown with Susquehanna. A pair of women's games will kick off the event, starting with a match-up between Elizabethtown College and Goucher College at noon. Catholic University and Juniata College then face off in the second women's game at 2:30 p.m. Following the Drew-Susquehanna men's game, Moravian University and the University of Scranton close out the day with another men's tilt beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Known as the "Cathedral of College Basketball," The Palestra opened its doors in 1927, making it the oldest major college arena still in use today. It has hosted more games, more visiting teams, and more NCAA tournaments than any other facility of its kind. It is currently home to the Philadelphia Big 5 Championship.
The participating programs will have the opportunity to play in a memorable location that has seen great players like Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and Oscar Robertson, all of whom played as a member of visiting teams.
