MADISON, N.J. – Three members of the Drew University men's basketball team have been recognized for their performance on the court and in the classroom with their selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Senior forward Kevin Cronin received his third career CSC Academic All-District award while junior guard Taylor Perlmutter captured the honor for the second time, having also been recognized during the 2024-25 season at Moravian University. In addition, sophomore Ben Manns garnered his first CSC Academic All-District award.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve who has appeared in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started 66 percent of the team's contests.

A Business major and Philosophy minor, Cronin started all 26 games this past year. He averaged 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while handing out 48 assists and making just 28 turnovers. In addition, he knocked down 19 3-pointers and shot 75.0% (39-for-52) at the free-throw line.

Perlmutter, a Cybersecurity major and Business minor, played in 24 games coming off the bench in his first year with the Rangers. He scored 55 points for the season while dishing out 39 assists and committing just 18 turnovers. In addition, he shot 70.6% (24-for-34) at the foul line.

An undecided major, Manns enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Rangers, finishing as the team's fifth-leading scorer with 10.8 points per game while coming off the bench in every game. He also finished second on the team in rebounding (5.5 rpg) and blocked shots (11) while connecting on 22 3-pointers and leading the Rangers in field-goal percentage (54.3%).

The trio helped lead the Rangers to another tremendous season once again this past year. The helped Drew to a 19-7 record and a 13-5 mark in conference play, good for a second-place finish in the Landmark Conference regular season standings and the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. It was the third year in a row that the Rangers finished among the top-two in the conference.
