MADISON, N.J. – Following its 5-0 start, the Drew University men's basketball team has earned a No. 23 ranking in the first D3hoops.com regular-season poll of the 2025-26 season.

Under first-year Head Coach
Ryan Van Zelst, the Rangers opened the season by winning the Drew Tip-Off Tournament, highlighted by an 82-78 victory in the championship game over TCNJ, which was ranked No. 24 in the D3hoops.com Preseason Poll and is now ranked No. 20.
Drew also defeated Centenary (N.J.) 93-70 in the first round of its home tournament. They topped Rowan University (95-92) before opening Landmark Conference play with a pair of road victories this past week. The Blue and Green edged the University of Scranton 78-75 in overtime before downing Juniata College 87-66.
The Rangers continue their season on Tuesday, when they visit St. Joseph's-Long Island in a non-conference tilt starting at 5 p.m.
