Michael McGeeney was selected as the MVP for the Drew University men's lacrosse team for the 2021 season.
McGeeney started all six games between the pipes for the Rangers and collected at least 15 saves in all but one outing. His 21 saves at Scranton in the Landmark Conference quarterfinals tied him for fourth in school history, and his 20 stops in the season opener at Elizabethtown tied him for eighth all-time at Drew. In addition, he made 17 saves in a home matchup with E-town, 16 at Susquehanna, and 15 against Moravian. For the season, he posted a 13.69 goals-against average and a .551 save percentage, which ranked him third in the Landmark Conference.
Over 22 games for his career, McGeeney posted a 10.96 goals-against average, a mark that ranks ninth in school history, along with a .541 save percentage.
