Drew University Athletics

Sanford was a tremendous performer for Drew and was an NCAA Honorable Mention All-American in 2005. Competing across all three NCAA divisions, he was a three-time NCAA Championships qualifier (2004, 2005, 2007) and placed 16th in the epee at the 2007 national championships, which were held at Drew. Sanford was also a three-time Middle Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association (MACFA) epee champion (2004, 2006, 2007) and was a four-time MACFA All-Star. In 2007, he was honored as the Drew University Athlete of the Year.
