Mehalick was a tremendous pitcher for the Rangers and at the time of her Hall of Fame induction, still held the distinction as the only player in program history to toss a perfect game when she retired all 15 batters she faced in a five-inning win over Delaware Valley in 2001. Including that performance, she fired the first two no-hitters in team history with another no-no coming against Lycoming in 2002. An incredibly dependable competitor, she held Drew career records for most innings pitched (497.2), games started (74), and complete games (59) at the tiem of her induction. She finished 39-37 with a 2.26 ERA and 234 strikeouts, finishing second in school history in wins and third in both ERA and strikeouts. A two-year team captain, her top season came during her senior campaign, when she collected ECAC All-Star recognition and Second Team All-Freedom Conference honors after finishing 13-5 with a 1.65 ERA. She was also a second-team all-conference selection during her junior year in 2002.

In the summer of 2017, Mehalick returned to The Forest as Drew’s head softball coach after serving in the same capacity at Stevens Institute of Technology for the previous nine years.
