Paul Primamore has not lived by the sword, but he has sworn by it for most of his life, and he makes no apologies for doing so. For 25 years he coached the Ranger fencing team, and in doing so, he served longer than any other Drew fencing coach, compiled a record 157 victories, guided nine Rangers into the National Collegiate Athletic Association (N.C.A.A.) tournament, and was twice named the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association's Coach of the Year.

Primamore's 1992-93 Rangers set the program's current record of 14 wins and earned Drew's 300th victory in the sport.
